There is an alarming rate of cancer in Halifax County! Cancer strikes regardless of race, age, or financial status. Cancer is a devastating disease physically, emotionally, and financially (even when one has health insurance). Your local Halifax County Cancer Association is a non-profit organization founded in 1957. We are committed to fighting cancer with year-round programs of service and education. We want to better educate Men and Women about early detection. We are funded by Memorial, Private Donations and Fund-Raising (we do not go door to door and we receive No Money from Relay for Life). All money that the Halifax County Cancer Association raises stays here in Halifax County.
