Golden Corral/Easton Softball entered the 26th Annual Chance Crawford Benefit Tournament with sights on repeating as Champions.  After rolling through a tough pool play bracket against 4U Floors (21-15) and Sunbelt Rentals (21-8), the team found itself in what appeared to be a good position...a #1 seed for the double elimination tournament.  The Corral, however, did not take advantage of that, giving a lousy effort and dropping the first game to Harris Financial, 13-15.  GC would go quietly.  Golden Corral run-ruled Norm's Transmissions 28-18 Saturday to stay alive.  Sunday morning, The Corral opened up by holding off VFW, 26-21.  Next up was the powerful C&L Softball from Maryland.  After trailing for most of the game, GC staged a big rally and stole this one 12-11 in the seventh.  This pitted GC against Harris Financial again.  In a back-and-forth game, The Corral prevailed this time by the score of 15-12.  This put Golden Corral in the "money", and now they were playing for a shot a making it to the championship game.  It was a long, hard-fought road that would end against a very strong Sears/Miken squad by the score of 25-15.
