W.J. has been playing with the South Boston Merchants on and off for 4 years. He can play a little outfield when called upon and provides power and a homerun threat in the bottom of the lineup. He has also been turned into assistant coach this year.  W.J. graduated from Va. Tech with a degree in Education.  He teaches at Halifax County Middle School in South Boston, Virginia.
